Component Testing

Air Bags

Vibrate Air Bag Assembly on an Electro-dynamic Shaker table up to 3,000 Hz to verify durability and fatigue of the assembly. Customized fixturing and set-ups insure proper vehicle orientation. Random vibration meeting customer PSD requirements is an ATE specialty. Testing can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH.

Armrests

Custom durability fixturing allows for smooth cycling through full or partial travel requirements without overloading end stops. Cycling can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH. Effort measurements at required cycle counts are easily obtained. Ultimate load testing of test samples in any orientation using controlled hydraulics. Data acquisition of load, displacement, and time can be recorded per customer requirements.

Ash Trays

Cycle ash tray and other similar interior mechanisms using hydraulics or pneumatics. Perform durability and fatigue testing on ash tray springs or any other mechanism of movement. Cycling can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH. Effort measurements at required cycle counts are easily obtained.

Brackets

Any bracket for any purpose can be tested using pneumatics, hydraulics, or electro-dynamic shaker capabilities. Apply loads in any orientation to create bending moments, test for ultimate load, or vibrate to find resonance locations up to 3,000 Hz. Testing can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH.

Bulbs

Test interior lighting fixtures for functionality and housing durability by triggering the bulb on and off while vibrating the test sample(s) using hydraulics or an electro-dynamic shaker. Resonant frequencies can be determined up to 3,000 Hz. Testing can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH.

Bumpers

Cycle center counsel up and down applying required loads at end stops to test durability of release latch and pivot joint. Intermediate motions, such as cup holder cycling or coin slot operation, are available upon request. Fasteners

Any fastener for any application can be tested for fatigue, corrosion, and ultimate load characteristics. Fasteners can be part of a system or stand alone. Hinges

Rotate hinges through full or partial travel using hydraulic or pneumatic customized set-ups. Strength testing at hinge stops available with Load vs. Deflection plots. Testing can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH to check test sample for corrosion resistance.

HVAC Components

Vibrate test samples using an Electro-dynamic Shaker or hydraulic actuator up to 3,000 Hz to verify durability and fatigue resistance. Systems can be pressurized during test with customer supplied fluid of choice. Testing can be performed at temperatures ranging from -73°C to 177°C and humidity up to 95% RH.
